3d file extensions
#1
I've changed my 3d files so Gotham recognizes them as 3d. That works fine but my Samsung tv doesn't recognize them as 3d. Is there another extension I need to add for tv to switch to 3d? I have mkv and ISO files and it doesn't matter which kind.

XBMC will not currently change your tv to 3d mode automatically. You need to do it with your remote. There are some 3rd party scripts being developed for each brand of TV to do this automatically. Here's one for Samsung- http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=185212. There may be others as well, you could try a google search.

Yeah I was in the same boat then found my Panasonic 3D TV has 2 modes for 3D detection: signal and image analysis/signal detect. I selected #2, so when I play a 3D movie, after about a second the TV goes into 3D mode. Like wgstarks said though you might need a 3rd party script for a Samsung.
