Scraping Movies - Release year in folder or filename is not used?
#1
Hi again!

I have another question, this time related to scraping movies.
The scenario that am trying to understand is as follows:

Example folder and filename for a movie "Alice in Wonderland"

\Alice in Wonderland (1951)\Alice.In.Wonderland.1951.1080p.mkv

When Ember scrapes this title it prompts for the user to select the correct movie. The list includes the 1951 version as well as some others. The scraper seems to find something that matches but does not seem to use the year that is known from the folder and/or filename.

Is this behavior by design? Is there a way to configure the scraper to do use the year and make the right decision in this situation?

It would be really helpful to reduce the number of titles that user gets prompted for. I didn't find a forum post that mentioned this feature request but I might not have searched with the right search terms..

I'm not shure if this works correct in Ember 1.3.0.x, but i think have fixed that in Ember beta 1.4.0.x.
I will check that later today for beta.

That's good news - I will check the behaviour in the 1.4.0.x beta.
Thank you!

It works only if the year is in brackets like (2012).
I'll change that.

In next beta all years between 1900-2099 will be recognized and used in scrapers. Brackets around year is no longer needed.
