Solved Subtitles not downloading Gotham beta 2
#1
Hello everyone,

I am running Gotham Beta 2 with Openelec 3.95.1 on my Intel NUC I3 (haswell), but since my Gotham update I cannot download subtitles anymore.. I know there was a subtitle fix in beta 2, but beta 1 and beta 2 both don't work for me. With beta 1 I think with most the problem was that it DID download the subtitle but did not show, and in my case it is not even downloading the subtitle in the first place..

I followed the wiki http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...e_services

but nothing happens.

Here is my debug log with beta 1 http://www.xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=149592

and with beta 2 http://www.xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=150609

apart from this Gotham is great!! Just hope someone can help me solve this mystery. Never had any subtitle problems with 12.3 Frodo btw...

thanks for your time!

Edit: in my bedroom I have beta 1 running on my ATV2 with the same problem (although I didn't check the log yet, but no sign of downloading as well) and I am using a shared library, perhaps this is where the problem comes from somehow??

Use Confluence. It may be that the version of Nox you're using hasn't been updated for the new subtitle stuff.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Thanks! I have tried it right away and you are correct. It only works in confluence for now. I thought using the confluence skin as mentioned in the wiki was only for setting up the subtitles. All the new options for setting up subs are there in Nox though...

Also I use my Iphone as remote for the moment and I used to press the subtitle button for a few seconds and then it would download the subtitles automatically but this doesn't work (yet) as well. I actually have to open the menu and then select download subtitles.

I guess this will be solved in time..

Thanks for the help!
