I'm having some trouble upgrading to 13.0 stable. I removed out the old unstable PPA and put in the new one but when I get xbmc.bin and check it, it says that it is 12.3.

What process should I go through to upgrade to Gotham 13.0 stable?

I install http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/XBMCbun..._amd64.iso on clean HDD with xbmc as name machine name and password and can't login not in xbmc not in lubuntu. RC4.iso worked. ssh worked too. Login xbmc pass xbmc. What am I doing wrong ?

Hi all,

I'm having issues with the XBMCbuntu image: xbmcbuntu-13.0~gotham_amd64.iso (I'm running OS X Mavericks). I've tried downloading from several mirrors and the .iso itself will not mount, neither will the img/dmg that's created with hdiutils. When I progress to burn to USB stick anyway with dd, the stick is ignored during bootup (doesn't show up when I hold down option).

Anyone else having similar issues?

thats correct. Are you trying to install this on a Mac? That won't work, EFI booting is not supported yet in xbmcbuntu

Can someone tell me what files are running my remote in this version, Im having the most incredibly difficult time getting additional buttons to work. Is it lirc or not and what exact files do i need to edit for one button?

AndOrNot, I was also getting the following error when trying to install XBMCbuntu 13.0 to a flash drive using Startup Disk Creator in Ubuntu 12.04:

The md5sum was correct (182cf5b4bdf946ad1391cf9fac7f3beb).
Then I tried UNetbootin, and it worked. Hope that helps.
