crashlog http://paste.ubuntu.com/7124064/

debug log, isnt from same instance as crashlog though : http://paste.ubuntu.com/7124070/

EDIT same thing with my laptop running kubuntu 14.04 x64 + alpha12, so its probably something with ubuntu

debug log http://paste.ubuntu.com/7124096/
crash log http://paste.ubuntu.com/7124099/

I'd say remove

It looks like if the addon repository is not available (if the data can not be accessed or. get invalid request) then XBMC crashes, because all those addons repos are not available.. I think so, but could be wrong.

I saw that last night but Id had a few drinks before I turned on xbmc and didnt want to make things worse by tinkering when drunk hehe
Ive removed bossanova's repo and while xbmc stays open for longer, it still crashes - now on my repo Confused

Something to do with GitHub I guess?

EDIT removed my repo and now xbmc is fine.

I did solve (partially) the restarting issue on my end. Here is what I did.

Using ssh, I went to ~/.xbmc/addons/ and started removing the repositories, one bye one. I would delete one, wait for it to crash and move to the next. I removed appx 8 repos. When I removed tOmmO's repository (can't remember where I got this repo, its possible it was from xunity or xbmchub), the crashing stopped. It seems to be stable now, but I haven't moved around in xbmc much yet. I will report back if I notice anything else.

EDIT: as soon as I click on the "sports-a-holic" addon, it crashes again. Sportsdevil seems to work fine.

you using the latest Repo of SportsDevilHuh
or you using an older version?

----- maybe we should start a list... :/

you're right... the addon SportsDevil itself is not broken. I removed just the repo folder, and it works!!!
thanks @bechmid, for pointing me in the right direction.

I believe I was using maxmusterman's repo. But... I also used the Sportsdevil-Fixes addon to update Sportsdevil.

Edit: No I was not using Maxmusterman's repo. I don't have his repo installed on my system.

Do the offending repos use github?

Please, can you tell us what addon have you installed on your XBMC ?
Because I also experience these crashes so way should have at least one common buggy addon...

t0mm0's repo - https://github.com/t0mm0/t0mm0-xbmc-plug...aster/repo

I have alot of addons installed, but removing two repositories that used github is what sorted the issue for me (bossanovas repo + mine). Check the last few lines of the xbmc debug log (wiki) after a crash to see which addon/repo was last accessed by xbmc.

Personnally, I removed the following ones and my XBMC is now starting again :
  • addons/repository.teeedubb
  • addons/script.tv.show.next.aired
  • addons/plugin.video.mangastv
  • addons/script.steam.launcher

I'll try to reinstall them one by one later.

OK. I am not alone Smile
Started last night (March 19th) around midnight.

I pulled new nightly today but no change.
I do not run many repos.
Will try to remove some addons today to see if it helps.

Would it run fine since BETA 1 for so many days and than last night started to crash?
Weird thing is all these posts here are from yesterday and today.

I will downgrade NVIDIA tonight.
