What app do you use for Streaming audio and where does the Music come from?

I use a few apps for music streaming. Usually tunein radio or itunes music app. Same problem with both apps on iphone and ipad.
The issue is quite low level at ios rather than the app. When i switch airplay source i quite often get strange behaviour when i select xbmc.

Hi Memphiz (or anyone else who could help).
I've still got the same issue with airplay and I am running gotham 13.1.
I have done a full restore on my ipad running ios 7.1 to see if the issue is related to the sending device but the same problem
I'm ready to try anything to resolve this now as it's really frustrating that I have to exit xbmc to be able to airplay music.
I'm willing to do a full restore, JB of my ATV and re-install of xbmc if it has a chance of fixing this problem. I have the following blobs saved so I can even install an older version of IOS on the ATV if that could help.
AppleTV2 5.1.1 (5.0.2) (9B830)
AppleTV2 6.0 (5.1) (10A406e)
AppleTV2 6.1 (5.2) (10B144b)
