Streacom fc7 case fan help
#1
Hello,

So I've decided to build my first htpc and decided to go down the mini itx route.
For my chasis I've gone with a streacom fc7 evo case. This case only has room for 1 case fan.....

My question is should this be exhaust or intake?

Current build:
Case: streacom fc7 evo
Psu: Pico psu 150
Mobo: Asrock fm2a88x itx
CPU: amd a6 6400k
CPU cooler: Akasa AK-CC1101EP02 Low Profile
RAM: (2x2GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile, PC3-12800 (1600)
SSD: samsung 840 evo 120GB
Case fan: Huh

Any help would be welcomed and feel free to comment on the build.

Thanks
Gary

Hey jammyb

I think the FC8 is fanless , but the fc7 supports 1x80mm fan. Happy to be corrected though!

Do you think the cpu cooler will be enough regardless?

A quick google and I stand corrected.

Use the fan as an exhaust bud.

If someone is wondering, I had the opportunity to see these chassis live the other day (fc8 evo), it is larger irl than on pictures so to speak :-)

Thanks jammy, exhaust it is. Cool

Sliddjur, I can't speak for the fc8 but the fc7 evo is a quality looking chassis. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot when built.

I've built an FC8 fanless system. They're lovely.
