Win Help building a NAS fron my existing desktop

I want turn my old PC into a NAS for my movie collection that I can access throughout my home but as a veteran my funds are very limited. I have a regular router (network) and a Netgear N400 wireless router connected to it that is located in my laundry room that controls all house communications. I have ripped my movies to the hardrive labeled D:

My question is “What do I need to do to be able to view my movies in other locations without going thru the internet using what I have and what else do I need. Keep in mind I have a blue ray play at all locations that can access DNLA devices on the home network. PLEASE HELP Thanks Huh

If the computer is already up and running and connected to your network, perhaps just throwing on a uPnP/DLNA server software would be best. XBMC can pick up uPnP sources and so can your Blu-Ray player so it's a win-win. Check out Serviio for this. I've used it in the past on a linux install and it was painless to set up and use.
