ATV2 slow after clean 12.3 install
#1
Hi
I'm quite new to XBMC but after installing 12.3 and then the two betas, the ATV2 would crash often when starting a movie after a period of being idle.
It happily played High code 1080p movies from my ethernet connected NAS drive though.
I followed the WIKI instructions to remove XBMC and also the userdata folder and installed a clean 12.3 with just one add-on
Now, most 1080p files that I open are sluggish/ stuttery and my frame rates vary between 10- 19 FPS, sometimes hitting 24, but not often..

Here is the pastebin of my log (with my video scan data mostly removed to avoid the pastebin paste size limit)

Hoping someone could take the time to tell me what's wrong?

Thanks

Is it just too much to expect an ATV2 to play 1080p files?

Did you do anything special for your audio settings on your previous install? Do you use an audio receiver of any kind or is this just direct to the TV?

It's just an old 720p LCD with stereo sound, connected via HDMI.
I have the ATV2 set to 16 bit audio and the XBMC audio settings are optical/coax

Are all of the "...capable receiver" options turned off?

Yes they are off. Stereo config is 2.0 all check boxes are off apart from "Output stereo to all speakers"
