I have a cheap Chinese keyboard type remote that works out of the box with xbmcbuntu, however I had issues with getting audio iin the xbmcbuntu desktop so I opted to install Linux Mint 13 Maya. I was then able to get audio but now I have issues with the remote not working in xbmc.
I am almost certain this is not a windows media remote nor nothing requiring lirc, as I have used it on Raspberry Pi as well as xbmcbuntu with no configuration
Questions
Is there some support for remotes in xbmcbuntu that does not exist in ubuntu or Mint?
If I want to go back to xbmcbuntu, how would I fix the audio in the xbmcbuntu GUI? Iget audio in xbmc but what I want is chromium browser to be launchable from xbmc with sound using advanced launcher
I enabled logging while running xbmc and pressed some buttons including volume which is the only key that worked here is the result:
