Freezing on OE beta 3
#1
I've been having lock ups on beta 3 of XBMC in OpenElec. I and debugging enabled but I'm not sure how to post it in a box like some do. Here is a link:

Have any devs looked at this or do any of the nightles fix it? I've always been told to post a debug log so I did. This is from the "xmbc.old" log as I read that is the one I want because I want the log from before the machine crashed.

I just tried a nightly from a few hours ago and a video froze just 5 minutes in so I went back to beta 2. Should I be taking this up with OpenElec with the debug logs or post here since OE really just runs XBMC?

that nasty script?

You think the tv next aired script is my problem? I'll get rid of it right away.

EDIT: They announced Beta 4 today and I'm running that now. Should I still get rid of the tv show next aired script?

EDIT #2: I tried uninstalling it but it couldn't because my skin (Aeon Nox 4.1.9.7) needs it. If the script is really causing the lockups I'll consider another skin.

Yes, Just had another freeze while I had a movie on pause. Here is that log:

I see "NFS: sending keep alive after 180s." a number of times. Could my nfs shares be causing this? If so, I'll build a new database with SMB.

I think the point was that Aeon Nox 4 is Frodo only - you need 5 for Gotham (I believe - I use Confluence, so what do I know)

EDIT

Ah, I can see that there's a 4.1.9 for Gotham as well as the WIP that is 5.

Reproduce with default skin and without that next air script first.

In order to not use that script I have to not use the skin so I'll test on Confluence I guess.

Exactly - that's what fritsch was asking with the "default skin" comment. It'll help isolate the problem between core XBMC and an addon (skin or something else).

Nothing really obivous in the log - despite the next aired script is still running ...

I'm ditching nfs and going back to SMB. Will report back.

Well I have time on my hands so I switched everything to SMB. I had my family over and watched 2 3D movies and I scrolled through all my movies and TV shows to show them XBMC. After they left, I cam back to watch a show and when I hit TV SHOWS I got a black screen and a freeze, ARGH.

I'd ask if it was skin or script related but I had the freeze on Confluence also, although TV Next Showed was probably still on.

I never had a single freeze on OE beta 2.
