After XBMC splash screen, HDMI stops
#1
Hello,

I have been having some odd issues with my HDMI video out after I upgrade to Frodo 12.3 from 12.2. I am not sure if it is due to the upgrade, but here is my issue.

I first turn on my Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver and then my Vizio wide screen TV or vice versa.
Next I boot up my HTPC computer (specs below) I get the usual splash screen of XBMC with the progress dots. All is fine with the video until the splash screen stops, then I loose the HDMI signal to the Onkyo which will state No Signal.
I can even repeat this when the Onkyo is off so it will bypass the HDMI directly to the TV, a blue screen stating the same.

I am running the HTPC in the 1080 mode at 1920 × 1080. I have been running this for some time without issues until the upgrade. The Onkyo does not pay attentention what resolution it gets and the TV automaticly detects the resolution.
Apparently something changes right after the splash screen and then the loss of signal. I am assuming the splash screen is also in the 1080 mode, but we all know what assume stands for...

For those of you that don't know, this model receiver from Onkyo (TX-SR606) had a factory issue of the HDMI switching going bad due to a design flaw. I had mine already fixed after two months of use. They switched a board out in the receiver and it has been working fine since. This is not the issue here at the moment.

Is there some type of timing issue that causes this issue or is something switched during or after the XBMC splash screen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks
GEEMac
