Welcome to forums.
I can tell you for sure acording to that screenshot, that you are using a very old and unsupported XBMC version, and given the diffrences/changes, you best doing a backup of your library and reinstall from fresh using lastest xbmcbuntu

He's going to have to wait for QNAP to update their version of XBMC for QNAP. I'm surprised they're still on this older version. I think we even offered to help them or something, but communication broke down.

Actually looking at
http://www.qnap.com/useng/?lang=en-us&sn=899 they have both 12.2.3 and 11.0.2 and 12 (three qpkg's in all) so its up to user to update the qpkg looks to me he wants the intel x86 build 12.2.3

Problem with qnap was, that the GPU was the famous non intel powervr chip, which meant: "pray that it runs somehow at all".
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
