jailbroken with xbmc 12.2 and nito tv

From what I read on this forum nitotv is not needed so how do i uninstall it? I found several post on how to uninstall xbmc but nothing really on nitotv.

From my search I guess nitotv was a way to get xbmc on atv2 but now its obsolete since I can get xbmc on here using terminal.. right?

I ran the get-add-on command in terminal, following one of the linked wiki, but it comes back saying xbmc is up to date. So how do I get xbmc 12.3?? I want to know how to do this just in case I want to update to Gotham when its out of beta.

Fyi- new to the jailbreak seen, I didnt jailbreak the atv2

Okay looks like I know how to get rid of nitotv, just use the program when connected to the apple tv 2 via usb. Still would like to know about the last question though, on how to get xbmc 12.3

not sure who said it was obsolete but I used nitotv to upgrade to 12.3 on four ATV2. one of them did have a rebooting issue but once I jailbroke it again it worked fine.

I followed the update route per the wiki instructions but I'm still on 12.2. Is there something I'm missing?

Its telling me there are no new upgrades.. but why? 12.3 and gotham are upgrades right? So should they pop up as an option?
