How to check battery status?
#1
Hi all,

I'd like to know what's the level of battery of RPi from the terminal, that's possible? I tried to it with apci command but it's not possible on ARM arch. With upower neither. Someone know any possibility?

Thanks in advance

Hi.
I believe that's all doable, but requires some HW to facilitate it all. Take a look here for more info.. Not quite sure, but the principals are there I quess..

There is no battery as standard on Pi. There is no hardware to read the voltage (and hence no terminal command to read it).

If you did happen to be running your pi from a battery, I guess you would need to use the gpio pins to measure the battery voltage. It would then be available from the normal rpi commands. I understand the gpio pins are exposed under /sys/class/gpio
