Win Windows 8 server and XBMC needs password to access shared disk
#1
I just finished building a new Windows server for all my media and trying to get XBMC in other locations in my house to gain access. When I find the location adding source it ask for user and password. In the global Network Sharing settings in Windows 8.1 I have password protected sharing off. My other winddows PCs didn't need any passwords to access these drives.

These other XBMC boxes are OpenELEC based.

Any settings I'm missing to turn off password protection?

Thanks

hrmmmm im not exactly sure, but i know that "homegroup" has caused me some frustration in the past, you can always try and disable the homegroup setting.

When I get home from work I give that a try and maybe look into my user profile about the passwords. Thanks
