Gotham Beta 3 and AC3/DTS on Ouya

AAC passthrough was wishful thinking in the past. Turns out there are pretty much zero Receivers that support it. Thus it was removed.

Yes, I had noises with SPMC. I could get rid off them by going ahead and back on the video or turn off/turn on the amplifier.
Now, I don't have this issue anymore with XBMC for Ouya (the official one) ; I haven't tried Koying's build yet.

I just updated to the latest Ouya firmware and installed Gotham Beta 4. I enabled passthrough but my receiver is showing that it is receiving multichannel PCM not DTS.

Just tested this out, works great on my Ouya, awesome Koynig, thanks!

Sadly it looks like the fix didn't make it into the release build, I tried that first and it didn't work.

Mind testing it?
@Koying
Has this patch been intentionally left out of the release channel? OUYA passthrough doesn't seem to work in the 13.0 or 13.1 releases, or the 13.2 beta, but this build works great.

There are infinite internal debates whether to include those device specific hacks into XBMC or not.
I took the shortcut and included them in SPMC (http://spmc.semperpax.com), my "personal" fork of xbmc for Android.

Cool. I hadn't realized you'd moved SPMC up to Gotham. You even made it a Home launcher, too! That's exactly what I was going to do.
