Bug Gotham Beta - No audio when starting some channels
#1
Since switching to Gotham I am having issues when viewing LiveTV (using Mediaportal backend) - when starting channels I'm getting video (after a flash of 'green screen' and some buffering) but no audio is played at all..
I've checked using the Mediaportal client and channels play just fine (always with audio), it also used to work with Frodo builds.

I have seen the same issue on some recordings, they have no audio in XBMC, but will play perfectly using Mediaportal / Windows Media Player.

I seems to happen mainly when switching from SD > HD (or back) - I think it's where the STB takes slightly longer to tune, and the audio stream is missed by the stream analyse part of XBMC's player.

I recall seeing some things a while back related to reducing the analyse time to speed up channel tuning, but not sure if this is related.

I have made a short recording that exhibits the problem 100% reliably using Beta 3, the MediaInfo output is here; http://www.xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=172683

A zipped copy of the file is here; https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6618...uffer1.zip

And debug logs (with FFMPEG and Audio logs on verbose) here; http://www.xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=172689

I really hope that one of the devs could take a look and see if there is anything that could be done, as its currently rendering LiveTV useless for me in Gotham Sad

Many Thanks!

Ok so I just did a little more investigation, and made a short recording starting on an SD channel and then tuning to an HD channel on the STB whilst the recording was in progress (ie. don't stop the recording at all)

This yields a file that has audio up until the STB change, then I lose audio (again works fine in Windows Media Player / MediaPortal).

If I can provide anything else that may help debug this, please let me know.
