SSD + Home Server + Mysql
#1
Hi I am building my new server and just wanted to check before i start ordering parts i plan to run either Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8.1 for my Server OS

does anyone know if i was to install Mysql for shared Databases with XBMC if this would be ok to use with an SSD as from what i understand there is a limited amount of writes an SSD can use and if i am regularly adding media to my XBMC and by extension my MySQL library will it wear out the SSD faster the SSD will just be the Boot OS drive and for applications not using for storage

Just use the ssd, you won't wreck it with this mySQL usage.
