Just recently I have started having this problem where after I close the lid of my laptop to use xbmc through my TV, the playback becomes choppy (3-4 fps) and audio is lost.
It is really weird seeing as I have been using XBMC in this way for ages with no problems
I also noticed my XBMC remote control username/password were reset on the same day that I have been having this problem :/
I tried restarting, reinstalling XBMC, no luck
I even tried closing the lid whilst playing the same video files in VLC and it worked no problems
Any suggestions appreciated!!! thanks
