Audio device

Hi.

It would be nice if there were 3 different audio devices, one for each category (movie, tv show and music)

The reason might seem silly, but i have full surround sound - but its a rather stupid receiver - it tries to play stereo in 5.1

I have however successfully added a USB stereo DAC - and when playing though that it comes in stereo as expected, so i was thinking - it would be nice (in my setup) to have a audio device for music (using this USB DAC), TV Shows uses DHMI (audio though TV) and Movies though my normal 5.1..

I think it could be done.. only issue is where to play GUI sound.... all 3 devices perhaps - or a default device of sort... like the device we have today - and a override for Movies and Music...

Whats your thoughts on this?

You might want to buy a smarter AVR then...Big Grin
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

I think settings are exposed now with JSON-RPC in v13? Or maybe that's something coming later? I can't remember.
