live tv "hanging" in xbmc
#1
Hey all. I have XBMC 12.3 with a NextPVR back end running on windows 7 ultimate 64bit, core i3 with 8GB ram, 1 x 3TB HDD. I get my live tv from an antenna in the attic, running through 2 HDHomerun 4's.

i am having an issue with two HD channels (FOX 5.1 and ABC 7.1 in the washington dc area for those who care) in XBMC. They sort of pause for a fraction of a second, catch up at quick speed and then pause for a fraction of a second again.

this only happens on these two channels, in XBMC. In the HDHomerun quick viewer, it does not occur. In the next PVR GUI, it does not occur. Recordings made with nextpvr do not show this behavior in windows media player, and the next pvr app, BUT DO show it when played in XBMC.

audio is unaffected.

what the heckHuh I hope someone has some suggestions for me please.

ok it looks like I am having the audio issues in the sticky. tried to delete the thread, but couldn't. Setting software to render ceases the behavior, but I am still figuring out how to fix it.

Alright, more troubleshooting done. My receiver is not dts-hd capable, so I removed that option from the audio settings. It's now playing audio from dts-hd movies perfectly, no hanging. The two tv channels are still giving me issues. Here's my debug info:
