You are running a non supported months(!) old version of xbmc alpha9 which was released 6 months ago. This bug is long fixed.

If you are using Ubuntu raring, then there won't be any updates for you, cause Ubuntu stopped developing your version.

cant i update xbmc neither via ubuntu?
i have xbmcbuntu
thanks

Yeah - same for xbmcbuntu sadly, it's based on Raring. Xbmcbuntu was based on 12.3 version which is still available. If you need / want a v13 version, please use the xbmcbuntu version provided in the xbmcbuntu v13 testing thread and start from scratch.

Do those in order:

sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:wsnipex/xvba-frodo

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:wsnipex/xbmc-xvba-frodo
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-bin
sudo apt-get upgrade

dpkg -l |grep xbmc | pastebinit

and retry if the error is gone.

Yeah - that I sadly did expect. There seems to some halfbaked packages installed.

Try: sudo apt-get -f install
