The RSS control is a great and simple way to fetch remote data and display it in XBMC. However, the current option for displaying RSS feed data is limited only to scrolling the text across the screen.
Adding an option to apply animations for display of the RSS items would greatly increase the usability of this control.
For example, one could fade in/out the RSS items one by one in a continual loop, or any of the other already implemented animations.
This would allow for more flexibility in the display of RSS feeds, and would be very useful for display of remote data on screen in XBMC.
I wish I had more C++ experience, as I'd be happy to devote some time to adding this functionality in (looks like it would just be a hack to "xbmc/guilib/GUIRSSControl.cpp")
