Yes, here the same problem

Probably an addon causing a segfault, possibly the same problem triggered by searching in the YouTube addon (which will be fixed in tonights build). Try testing against #0824 (which doesn't have the YouTube problem), and confirm if #0826 fixes the problem once it is released (in another 2-3 hours time).

How to turn back when the Pi is in a loop?

Isn't there any way of recuperate previous release, as I don't have time to revert before it reboots...
(2014-08-26, 19:41)FAMMAR Wrote: How to turn back when the Pi is in a loop?

Nobody has said the Pi is in a loop, only that xbmc is restarting (Pi !== xbmc).

If it's only xbmc that is restarting, just copy the #0824 tar on to the Pi as usual, then using ssh run "sync; reboot" to begin the downgrade.

If the Pi is in a reboot loop, that's something else entirely.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Let's be clear - is the entire Pi rebooting, or is it just xbmc that is restarting (it's designed to restart when it crashes)? Your description mentioned only xbmc...

The pi reboots after xbmc start. But reboots the pi, not only xbmc.
Unfortunately you'll need to manually update your SD FAT partition with the firmware and target files from an older tar file.

Can you ssh in before it reboots? Does the ssh connection stay open?

It's hard to imagine how an OE update can cause a Pi reboot. That's usually due to a hardware problem like the power supply.

Popcornmix, the problem isn't the update. As it updated, the problem is what milhouse stated, some addon is causing the reboot.

I'm already recovering an old backup and will update to #0824 version Wink
Still very strange for the entire Pi to reboot. #0826 will be up shortly. Please confirm if the problem continues, as we'll need to debug it (somehow).

Kudos to you guys!

PVR HD channels are back!
@popcornmix do you have some time to look into the resolution switch issue with video playlists and 3D movies? Or tell me what debug info you need - here is a debug log ( http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=277676 ) using a playlist with 3d, 2d, 3d, 2d movies.

I can report that the AC3 audio is working again! Amazing how fast you guys work. Thanks.
Notice: Build #0824 introduced a change to timezone setup which may have left systems using the wrong timezone, most likely UTC.

The XBMC GUI will most likely still be showing the correct time, but the time returned by the "date" command at the ssh prompt (and in logs etc.) may be off by an hour or more (unless you happen to be in a UTC timezone).

To fix your system timezone, re-apply your XBMC timezone setting by opening the Settings -> Appearance -> International settings page. You will see your correct "Timezone country" but proceed to set this to some other value (any value), then set it back to what should be your correct timezone country. Your system time will automatically update to the corrected timezone.

To view your current system timezone settings:
Code:
cat /storage/.cache/timezone
ls -la /var/run/localtime
One or both of the above may be incorrect after #0824, until you re-apply your XBMC timezone setting.
