Using a xbmcubuntu beta install, acer veriton celeron 877, hdmi to onkyo receiver to 55" Sony LCD, xbmc remote.

Fresh install, installed mashup, ice films, 1 channel.

Sound and video work until I try to play any file inside the addons. It plays audio but the video is just a black screen. I can still go into the menu and use all the controls, just black video.

Any suggestion? I'm new to configuring xbmc. I have it on my windows 7 machine and works great. I bought this acer for $220 as a cheap htpc for my entertainment center. I installed xbmcubuntu in hopes it uses less resources and will run smoother on this celeron with 2g ram. Thanks

If your problems are just with those addons then you will get no help here as they breach forum rules.

If it is a problem with wider video playback (ie video you own) then post a debug log.
