problem installing openelec on nuc D34010WYB
#1
Yesterday I received my new setup:
NUC: D34010WYKH (Intel Core i3 4010U)
Memory: 4GB Crucial PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600)
SSD: Kingston mS200 60GB

I have been trying to install openelec until late last night but without succes.
When the NUC boots I get the openelec screen where you have to hit ok to proceed but at that time the keyboard or mouse are not responding.
I have tried Frodo an Gotham but with the same result.

Installing windows 8 with the same memory stick is no problem but with openelec the system freezes.
First thing I did was update the bios to 025.

Enybody have any tips?

Don't use the usb3 ports.

Set boot to legacy.

THE nuc only has usb3 ports and I don't see any way to disable it in the bios..

My apologies. Thought it was like the 2820, both usb2 and 3.

It's in the bios to set boot to legacy instead of UEFI.

It was my wireless keyboard that freezed.
Connecting a wired keyboard made it possible to complete the installation Laugh

Can you comment on how it's running with OpenElec? Any problems to speak of since I'm considering this board myself? Smile
