Beta 4: Can't Install Skins/Add-Ons
#1
Fresh install of Gotham Beta 4 on a 32-bit Windows 7 machine.
Am trying to install skins, particulary Aeon MQ 5 and it stalls at 97%, complains of failing to open source in log, attached:

You have a lot of curl errors in that log, and HTTP errors which mostly apply to the connection limit imposed by the host. Have you re-attempted since? Any of the MQ add-ons I install take well over 10 minutes to download, that's with 150 Mb/s FTTC.
Please read the online manual (wiki) & FAQ (wiki) before posting.

Skins: Estuary | Xperience1080
Opinion: Never purchase HTC products

I tried about 15 times over the last coupe of hours
I finally gave up and went back to beta 3 and all worked fine
Was also having some funky things happen in my music library - covert art disappeared. All is fine on 3 though

Sure blame something totally unrelated.
As it happened to be several addons where updated, you had a repo list which contained the older version which wasn't there anymore.
Simply waiting longer would have fixed the issue. Or like said in the blog post "force refresh repo in case of issues".

Please get a Debug Log with beta4 installed so this can get looked at. I have win7 and i don't see any issues.

I tried to upload the whole log (almost 2MBs) but I got a 502 bad gateway from xbmclogs
I tried snipping it as I'm running Artwork Downloader and I still get the 502 Bad Gateway response
I'll download the uploader addon and try tonight, away from XBMC box now

xbmclogs seems to have had some issues lately. Use pastebin instead if that happens again.

I also had issues with Beta 4, while scraping new movies (connection timeouts).

Without a Debug Log this won't be fixed in final.
