Weird audio problem through HDMI
#1
Hi,

I sometimes connect my laptop to my Smart TV using a HDMI cable,
so that I can use XBMC to watch my tv shows or movies.

But every once in a while the audio will refuse to play through my tv, and will only play on my laptop.
No matter wich settings I change (I've used another thread here to go through all the options) it won't work.
The only thing that seems to help is to remove XBMC completely and then reinstall.
It will work fine that time, and maybe the next, but at one point it will stop working and I'll have to remove
XBMC again.

Any thought?
I'm using Windows 8 now, but the same problem occured when I was on Windows 7.

Thx!

Make sure that the laptop is connected to the TV, and then turn on the TV before the laptop. Just need to make sure to select Analog audio output with 2.0 speaker configuration in XBMC too....
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!
