I checked in this forum and the bug tracker. Not sure if it's best to post this here but the bug tracker didn't have Gotham Beta4 as an option for version (unless Beta4 is also one of the Alphas?). Anyhow, hopefully someone can help me.
When I start XBMC for the first time after booting Windows or returning from a suspended state, the first video I try to play will crash or lag up XBMC. If it crashes, I get the Windows message "XBMC has stopped working" and clicking close will simply close XBMC. When I reopen XBMC, that video will continue to crash XBMC until I start and stop another video (i.e. I start the movie 2 Guns; XBMC crashes; I start 2 Guns again; still crashes; I start the movie 9; it plays fine; stop it and start 2 Guns; it plays fine)
If it gets laggy, it is only temporary and usually I can hear the audio to the file. Generally when this happens, the view doesn't change from the library view and I can see the debugging overlay say the fps drop to around 2 or 3. When this happens, I can stop (hit x) that video and immediately play it again without any problem. I get video and audio fine, at that point and there are no dropped frames.
These problems occur regardless of what video I'm playing or where I'm starting that video from. If i start from the home screen or the library, the first video after opening XBMC usually does this. I can't figure out why it sometimes causes a crash and sometimes just gets laggy and I have to stop the video but both situations are kind of annoying, as you might imagine.
I took a few logs, stacktraces, and crashlogs from the XBMC folder and I'll put them here. For the record, I'm running Gotham Beta4 on Windows 8.1. This same problem also happened on Beta3. I'm hoping someone can help me resolve it so it doesn't end up causing problems whenever the stable release comes out. Hope these help. Thanks. Let me know if I can give you more info.

Also there's a xbmc_crashlog-13.0-BETA4 Git_20140418-482ccd3-20140423-191914.dmp file but I'm not sure how to open/copy it to here.
