I'm still too new to know how these things fit together, or who makes things or if they are built or part of the skins, but I want to give a shout out to the team that helps XBMC figure out what should be in sets. Does that info come from the scraping sites (imdb, etc.), or is there a list installed with xbmc for it to reference?
I was quite happy today to see that all of my Elvis movies were grouped together, especially since none of the movie titles have his name in them - only the concerts, documentaries. And then I found that it grouped all of my James Bond together (again, James Bond is not in the title). But just now I saw that it did my Mariachi Collection for me too! I thought that was going to be real trouble for me: Desperado, and Once Upon A Time In Mexico (I'm still trying to locate and buy El Mariachi to add to this). It shows up as Mexico Collection, but that's good enough for me!

Comes from scraper sites, such as http://themoviedb.org

In XBMC v13 you can even easily edit sets and set titles within the XBMC GUI :)

Looks like I'll be testing Gotham on the test PC as soon as I get the main unit up and running.
I'd put it on the new unit now but I don't see AEON NOX on the list yet, and I really (seriously really) love this skin.
Thanks!

You can download Aeon Nox directly and install as addon. Both should work

Aeon nox 4.1.9 (GOTHAM)

Aeon Nox 5 (Gotham)

You can also manually customize sets by editing the .nfo files for movies. For example, the following is the start of the .nfo file for an Eddie Izzard concert where I manually created a "set" to lump several concert videos together:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<movie xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<title>Eddie Izzard: Circle</title>
<originaltitle>Eddie Izzard: Circle (2002)</originaltitle>
<sorttitle>Eddie Izzard: Circle</sorttitle>
<set>Eddie Izzard Concerts</set>
<rating>7.7</rating>
...

These may not always behave as expected, but so far I've gotten this technique to work to create "sets" where the scrape sites may not have the videos as a set.

I spent so much time and sweat creating and maintaining sets, and then along comes Gotham, sets are a breeze to deal with now. This improvement along with the scrapers handling sets is one of the best reasons to move to Gotham.
