Cloud based Webdav support
#1
I've been trying to find a way for stream contents from cloud drive natively through WebDav without the help of cloud drive add-on such as gDrive because Cloud based WebDav has more potentials if we could get it run smoothly.

So I did a little research and found that StorageMadeEasy.com and Otixo.com are some cloud drive manager tools that could help transfer files between different platforms easily with a little fee.

And they both support WebDav and FTP. But the problem is that I checked the WebDav connections on pc and androids, they all worked fine but when I entered the login info into XBMCs (on windows 8, androids and raspberry pi OpenLec), I got the error 'XBMC was unable to connect to the network location. This could be due to the network not being connected.'

I own a NAS and also established WebDav from it so I think the WebDav info I entered for the cloud drive should be correct.
There was a post in 2008 asking a similar question but there was no finalized solution http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=125066

Could anybody give me some inputs about this kind of problem? Thanks.

Another solution is also rather simple: Simply enter the webdav-path in XBMC as a source...

Wouldn't know why you need any extra applications.

Edit:
Ah, I just realize that I might have totally misunderstood you there.
Did you try without SSL first? (i.e. "dav" instead of "davs")
Need help? Check out my XBMC Frodo Guide. It contains full featured guides to Sickbeard and CouchPotato as well.

Thanks for your help HenryFord. I used FPT and it works fine (Frodo verson)

The WebDav seems to work great on the Gotham version (yay!).
