Startup.xml
#1
i've been playing around with the new startup.xml stuff that was recently added. i've found it works quite well except one thing, whenever you use a startup window other than home.xml you will not see startup.xml. not sure if this is by design or not, but it seems you should always see startup.xml before the first "real" xml is loaded.

yes it is by design.

the home page can be quite a different design than other pages.

thus any animations (which is all startup.xml is there for) only really make sense if you are animating to the home page (there'd have to be possibly quite different animations to be seamless with other pages).

as per usual though, if a general consensus is reached by the skinners that they want startup.xml to always be played, then that's what'll happen.

cheers,
jonathan
