There is an issue with the Weather screen. I've included a pic below to show.

Also, the You-Tube home menu view mode can't switch from "List" view. Thumbnails are available but it does not work.

Hi,

like to add something hopefully constructive Smile I'm using XBMC mainly for watching LiveTV, and I discovered three little things:

- In the channel list view after LiveTV has been opened, is it possible to have the channel logos centered vertically in their little box next to the channel name+summary etc? This IMHO looks a little odd if you have a bunch of logos which only have a very small height - see screenshot.
[attachment=310]

- I enabled the "show now playing on homescreen" option in the skin settings. If you're playing a TV channel and go back to the homescreen, the channel logo isn't scaled to the little box next to the "now playing" info, but is cut off at all directions - see screenshot.
[attachment=311]

- In the LiveTV/OSD settings of XBMC, I have the "automatically hide channel information" option ticked, with "channel information duration" set to 5 seconds. This seems not to be respected by the skin, e.g. if in fullscreen TV playback you press cursor up/down to switch channels, it shows the info box with a "buffering ...%" overlay in the middle of the screen, but when playback actually starts, the info box will immediately hide after <1sec (which should be displayed for 5 seconds).

Other than that, nice work, looks really great!

Download the latest package. You can choose a global single image or a slideshow folder now.
Awesome thanks:p

Thx. I will fix it.

Thanks for the issue report. Is this issue in the EPG view, too?

Regarding the info panel and channel information. As far as I know this setting is only the delay for channel switching when you zapping. For example: When you hit channel up it the next PVR EPG information will be displayed for 5sec until XBMC will switch to that channel. The hide timer isn't controlled by the skin.

@schumi:
I tested the "recoding started" thing. It works without any problems and it was displayed in the upper right corner. So I don't know exactly what you mean.

Hmm, can't tell at the moment, will take a look after getting home in the evening and report back.

No, (I believe) it is supposed to control the autohide timer of the infobox. E.g. Confluence shows the OSD info for 5 secs if set to do so, also does Xperience1080, but I'll also recheck this. Zapping is near to instant, so if I press up/down, something will happen without waiting that long. Even for usability reasons the box should stay for a few seconds so the user has a chance to recognise which of the numerous scripted reality shows he just zapped into ;-)

If you like I can make some short videos of this if that helps.

Damn, you are right. Tested it with confluence. I will find the bug and crush it.

Just a question:
I don't use the new refocus because the old home menu ( with just the categories tilte on fanart) is gone, now there is some "cases" around the titles which break the esthetic of the skin,IMO, can i have the old menu layout with your mod?
thanks for your work.
cheers!
Reply
Sry, my mod isn't a mod anymore and it's completely incompatible to refocus.Only some windows/dialogs/viewtypes are left. Everything else is modified, extended or changed/renewed/replaced.

btw:
@herrnst:
Found the issue, will upload the new package later.

edit:
Update:
13:55
- Fixed: Video OSD media info panel doesn't ignores the fadeout time anymore
- Changed: Seeking/working layout to fit to the busy dialogs
- Fixed: Rotated watched overlay of video addons
- Changed: Adjusted the width of addon thumbnails (better for youtube, because of 16:9)
- Changed: ListView has the watched indicators directly in the list now instead of the focused list item fanart

Nice looking skin thanks, just two things. Can I remove the spinning disc from leftlist views and how do I remove the angled glass overlay on thumbs in views?
Reply
@Iceman360:

Glass effect: Currently there is no option for it. Do you mean to disable it completely or just for thumbnails like episodes?
Spinning disc: Also no Option for it. But it wouldn't be a big deal to add it.

As promised, reporting back: Yes, the channel logo at the bottom left to the title/description stuff is also aligned to the top, but that would IMHO get kind of lost if it would suddenly be placed somewhere in the middle. But - to quote Iceman360 regarding this:

If the glass overlay and the transparent "underlay" under the logo could be switched off would IMHO make it appear nicer Wink

Yep, configured fadeout time on zapping is now respected. One little "however" though (sorry): It would be more consistent if the timeout would also be respected upon starting LiveTV playback at all. Currently, if you start XBMC, go to LiveTV, then start playing a channel and immediately press "fullscreen", the infobox still goes away after the initial buffering is done. But it's kept for $fadeouttime when zapping.

Can also confirm the channel logo on the homescreen in "now playing" is properly fit into the little box now.

Love the skin,, works great. Can I put in a feature request?

The current skin I use has an option to have 'recommended episodes' as widgets on the main menu. This makes it very easy to navigate to the next unwatched show. Is there a way to do this in your skin?
