Upgrading to Gotham and Python version?
#1
I'm eager to upgrade to Gotham RC1 and try it out but am hesitating because I'm afraid I may kill some of my plugins like 1Channel in the process. I'm specifically concerned with Python and am unclear if I should be upgrading Python beforehand. I'm currently running Frodo 12.3 on a Mac mini and OSX 10.7.5. I checked my Python version in terminal and it looks like v2.7 (maybe 2.7.1?). I read that XBMC has it's own internal Python version though and am not sure it uses the same instance I installed for Sickbeard. Any thoughts or guidance?

Input Appreciated!

XBMC does not require anything at all from your OS. i.e. it includes everything it needs.

Your add-ons may or may not work due to other reasons. The one you mention is not discussed in these parts as it is against the forum rules.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
