Ok so just purchased this device but can you please tell me what would be the best option of OS to run on this device?

They have told me they can install one of the following for me " We can pre-install XP, Win7, WIn8, Linux OS"

I have a laptop running windows 8 which i play movies over SMB dont know if this matters in anyway on my choice

So just looking for some guidance please folks

If just used for KODI then use OPENELEC it will work very well
