The fire TV and the vega are great. Why you need a whole PC to run Xbmc seems overkill. I like the vega. But fire TV has more media then the other boxes

so I got the NUC motherboard for $80, picked up a power supply for $15 and found 2-1GB sticks of 1033 RAM on clearance for $5 and it seems like I have a functional openelec box !!
unit got what seemed to be pretty hot from just 15-20 minutes of playing around with it. Would that have anything to do with the power supply ? can I wreck the nuc if I bough the wrong one ? The wattage and voltage were what was recommended and the plug fit perfectly so not sure if that's the cause.
I also lost my network connection after I rebooted. I noticed it showed some kind of errors when booting up but it only flashed for a sec so I couldn't tell what was wrong. i guess i should be taking this to the openelec forums huh ?
