Up until now I haven't had any issues but yesterday this PC crashed on me twice with the same error code when I was trying to move files.


PC 1
OS - Win 8 64bit
Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2P
Ram - 4GB
Cpu - AMD Phenom II X4 925 Deneb 2.8GHz
SSD - Kingston HyperX 3K 240 GB SATA III

PC 2
OS - Windows 8.1 64bit
Mobo - GA-J1800N-D2H REV1.0 ( CPU/mobo combo)
RAM - 8GB
SSD - Kingston Digital 120GB SSDNow V300

And a Synology NAS DS111

PC 1 to PC 2 SMB transfer I'm getting 9 - 10 MB/s
PC 1 to Synology SMB transfer I'm getting 108 MB/s
PC 2 to Synology SMB transfer I'm getting 53 MB/s

The error code I was getting is DPC_Watchdog_violation when I tried streaming a video file from PC 2 to a XBMC box and moving another file across the network.

Any idea on where I should start I would appreciate it.

Good luck on your issue. Mine works very well on the network. a little less speedy for the transfers, though.
(ubuntu 14.04 also makes a diff probably)[/align].
