Hello,

I have recently re-scanned and added several dvb-t2 channels to npvr (uk freeview). These are pulled through fine into XBMC, however I cannot add timers for these channels, instead I get a message saying PVR-backed does not support this. I am able to set timers in npvr itself no problem.

Below is the xbmc log, right at the bottom at 0759 I attempt to set a timer:

Can you post the log again, but with debug logging turned on? Also post the NextPVR web.log/nrecord.log files.

Ok, restarted xbmc, tried to set a timer on BBC1 HD from the epg, it worked, so tried another programme on the same channel and it came up with the error message. log of this is below:

The message is: 'The PVR backend does not support this action. Check the log for details. An unexpected error occurred. Try again later or check the log for details.

Its' not being gracefully reported on the XBMC side of things, but in the NextPVR logs it's saying there is no tuner available at the specified time.

I'd try firing up NextPVR's UI, and try scheduling the same recording from the TV Guide - it'll tell you what conflicts there were.

I have tried and I can schedule the same programmes in npvr no problem, so it is an xbmc thing..

Also I am able to tune to these channels once when the programme in question is aired, so there is definitely no tuner conflict..

If you want to post the question on the NextPVR forums, I'll give you a patch which logs info about what it thinks is conflicting, stopping it from scheduling the recording. I'm sure there is a logical reason for it.

ok so I had not copied channells to all tuners - still allowed me to add timers in npvr when not in xbmc but I think this will be the problem!
