for some reason the passthrough stops working after a while in gotham and my receiver starts receiving multichannel (i.e xbmc is doing the encoding) instead of doing the decoding to DTS for itself.
(didnt have this issue in frodo.)

and when checking in audio-settings the passthrough options has disappeared and is nowhere to be found..
after a restart of the xbmc app i can get the passthrough option to appear again and have to enable it again. (and also enable dts and dolby digital option)

is there anyone else than me experiencing this problem? have anyone found a solution or know why it is happening?

debug log (wiki) - sounds like your receiver at some point re-handshakes the hdmi audio channel and only announces pcm capabilities or something like that - no clue without a log file.
