Linux XBMC 13 on Ubuntu 14.04 Freezes on Exit
#1
Hi all,

When I click on exit XBMC will freeze before exiting, sometimes it's only a freeze of 5 or so seconds, othertimes it can be minutes and I end up rebooting the whole PC.

Here are the longest log files I could get:

If there is anything more you need please let me know

Hi, I have a similar problem on ubuntu 14.04 when I press the remote control "power" button, XBMC appears to freeze, on 12.2 this would shutdown the PC and it is what I would like to happen on 13. I can still ssh into the pc but the gui seems frozen and no keys seem to have an effect. This happens on both of my i5 htpc's.

Ken.

Disable all addons, including the version check one.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

I've reset XBMC with the "Fresh Start" program addon and then disabled all available addons that could be disabled including version check one. Same problem.

Mine seems to have fixed itself, wondering if it was an update or something

"Fresh start" is evil and should be removed.
