playback of recorded files - quality
#1
Hi!
I record channels using nPVR on one machine and play them back on another using XBMC.
The files are fine and sometimes play without issue.
However sometimes midway through playback It will go very pixelated, although the quality of the signal wasn't good... however, simply closing and reopening XBMC and restarting the file fixes the playback issue.

Has anyone else experienced this / got a fix!?

I'm using Gotham 13.2

Thanks,
John

It sounds more like an XBMC issue, than a NextPVR addon issue. I assume the file plays fine in NextPVR?

Are you using Gotham on Windows, or something else?

Hi!
I'm using Gotham on a Windows 7 machine with 16gb of ram and a quad core processor... overkill totally - but it's definitely not a power issue!

both machines have wired connections to my switch.
File plays back fine in Npvr and also in XBMC if I restart XBMC!!!!

One thing I am wondering is the quality of the network connection... I have a section of indoor cat5e running outside the house along the wall.... but I don't see why starting XBMC would fix any connection problem that was causing?

Cheers,
John
