Flac multichannel support?

Wink
Hey,

Small question, does XBMC support multichannel FLAC's and if so do I need to do something to enable this?
I'm running Ghotam on Ubuntu 14.04 using ALSA.
Multichannel an passtrough work fine with movies, I only have the problem with music.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work Blush

Yes. 5.1, 7.1 whatever you want. You will need a HDMI or Analog multi channel out of course.

When you use a SPDIF to play them, ac3 transcoding needs to be done.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Sorry my bad I must have unchecked `Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver` by accident and missed it Huh
Thanks a lot, I can not believe I been using VLC and numerous other media players in the past, XBMC is so nice and handy!

I'm a programmer my self for over 10years now, so I realy know how much work this must be and how frustrating this kind of stupid questions must be, sorry, realy Angel
