is there any way to add data to the big list view, i love the view presentation but there's so much room that could be used to add info from the database or imdb xmls, such as rating, revew score, etc?

no, there is not.
nor will there be until 2.0 is out the door.
after then we can start playing around with views.

Right now there is a feature freeze while 2.0.0 gets some bug fixes. But it'll show up eventually.
