I think it would be a great idea to make an addon that filters out any hearing impaired subtitles. A lot of MKV files have subtitles built-in, and so you cannot easily remove the Hearing Impaired subtitles. Also, it would be a lot easier than to go through my entire library editing everything.
So it would be an addon that looks for anything inbetween [ ] characters, and capital names with : after them, etc. A good example of what to filter out can be found in the program Subtitle Edit, which is free.
If anyone is interested in doing this, I would be very greatful. I'd do it myself, however I do not know how to manipulate the subtitles shown beneath a video with Python.
