Won't Play "Network" HD Channels
#1
So I have a weird glitch since I updated everything and moved to Gotham, I can no longer watch live my "network" HD channels (502-523). They record correctly, and if I switch back to WMC I can watch them there, and I can watch the recordings. When I try to watch them, after about 5-10 seconds I'm switched out of XBMC to the desktop. The log has been uploaded here: http://pastebin.com/a1zkheF0

I'm not sure what is going. Try changing this value in the config.xml file (see debug tab).

Timeout_WaitForTS_MS

change it from 10000 to 20000. Save and restart swmc. See what happens. If it still doesn't work post the server log again.

do you have any other devices/PC apart from the one running WMC+ServerWMC that are trying to use your HDHomeRun tuner?

Please give us more detail about no longer being able to watch recorded tv. Can you see the files in xbmc but they won't play? or can you not see the files in xbmc? Are your recordings kept here: C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\? because you also have some watched folders set up in wmc, one of them seems to not be valid.

As for the hd live streams, if seems like once the tuner starts it immediately is being stopped by something external, hence scarecrow's question above. Or it is just flat out not working. Do you only have ONE instance of serverwmc running on your BBD-HP hp machine and not running on another network machine?

Also, I think this is what you meant in your first post, its only this tuner that fails:
Device name: Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 103594A8-0, TuningSpace: ClearQAM

Which is the only one tuned to 'ClearQAM' as opposed to the three 'Digital Cable' tuners which seem to be fine. Are you sure this tuner is working okay in wmc?

Ok, so Issue 1 is fixed. It was the HDHomerun Tuner ("Digital Cable") that needed a restart and the Network HD channels are good to go. I kinda remember setting it up that way since that tuner only works on network channels, that it is the first tuner selected when watching TV. Thanks for asking the right questions.

Now to issue number 2. I can see the files in XBMC but they won't play. When I click on them nothing happens. One PC does everything: ServerWMC and XBMC as well as WMC. I also have a windows home server machine which I am now suspecting is the issue. All the files that were on the local machine have now been archived to the home server - which I'm guessing wasn't the case when I could play files and I just didn't notice the discrepancy. ServerWMC shows the path of the WHS drive on "Folders" tab.

Make sure you have sharing and user/password ocnfigured correctly. It sounds like this should be a summary of your working setup:

Default Recorded TV folder in WMC: C:\Users\public\Recorded TV
This folder is shared as \\BBD-HP\Users\public\Recorded TV
These 2 paths should be displayed in ServerWMC folders tab

-> Specify a username and password in ServeWMC that has access to this share (in your case technically this doesnt matter as your only client is local and wont use the share but if you ever have remote clients it will be required, and it also is needed for the next part which is the access to WHS server share)

WHS Server archived TV folder: \\BBD-SERVER\Recorded TV
This is added in WMC as an additional watched folder (in the recorded TV library settings in WMC)
This folder is shared as \\BBD-SERVER\Recorded TV
This should be displayed in ServerWMC under additional watched paths

-> Make sure that the SAME user/password specified above has access to this share on the server

Are you on a domain or using local user accounts? If the latter, ensure the user/password you specify in ServerWMC has been created on both the PC and the WHS Server (same name and same password). If domain, ensure that the domain account has permission on both shares

Additionally, as krusty mentions, you seem to have another watched folder called "\\BBD-MAIN-PC\Users\Public\Recorded TV" which doesnt exist. It doesnt really affect anything but you could remove it from the WMC library/watched folders to tidy things up

Sorry, been on the road and hadn't had a chance to update the status. Everything suggested above was checked out and it still didn't help. However, the most recent update to the software (6/13/14) fixed the issue. Thanks!

Yes we did still have a couple of edge cases involving recordings that had been moved to watched folders where we werent providing the correct SMB path with credentials etc. Perhaps your setup fell into one of these scenarios. Good to hear it's all working again!
