Hello,
I'm not able to view the live stream. It says "opening stream" ... then nothing.
I can see the NHK World live stream schedule, Top Stories, Feature Stories, and Radio news.

I am in physically located in Japan, so I'm wondering if my problem is related to that, since I know that there are two streams at http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/app/tv/hlslive_tv.xml :

I'll also note that the other add-on "NHK World Japan Live" also doesn't stream for me.

BTW: I'm using openelec/kodi on a raspberry pi based media player (a Slice).

Thank you for your feedback. I knew about the different streams, but could not do testing, so it is nice to get feedback from someone in Japan. I'm off to work at the moment, so will look at this issue (hopefully) later today.

@MetalChris: Yes, both streams work for me as well. NHK must be restricting residents of Japan to the domestic stream only. Since I'm not in Japan, that was the part I couldn't test.

I also changed the timezone setting to a couple of other choices to confirm that live streaming only worked when timezone was set to "(GMT+09:00) Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo"

Hey great, glad you like it. Here's some tips for better enjoyment.

When either Live Streams or On Demand is selected and after the menu is populated, change the menu view to any of the 'media info' views. The video program description will be available. Sometimes the description will be cut off in the description area, but you can resolve that by navigating to (in Confluence skin) System > Settings > Appearance > Skin - Settings > General Settings and enable the 'auto-scrolling for plot & review'. Then those longer descriptions will auto scroll so you can read the cut off part.

I haven't looked at jibtv in a while, their video was encrypted before. Now their video changed, so it could be possible for jibtv to be added. Anyway, won't happen immediately, but is on my to do list now. Their video is SD only, no HD streams from them, but the content is good.
