Looks very cool,...just don't know why their emphasis is Fitness based?? Big mistakeHuh
Also,..pricing,....should be interesting to see how the market responds.

I will say this,...the video cameras that people buy for Skype are in the $100 range to begin with,..so right there, this device fits a niche.

Would be cool to see if it can pull off some of the things that can be done with the Kinect on Xbox One

That's pretty much their business. If you just want the hardware, an Android box that sits on top of a TV with an HD webcam, there are several that already exist and are cheaper.

I'm surprised these guys are bothering making a box when they could just focus on the software side. Have people use a small dock with TV video out and their Android phone, and you have a much more attractive solution.

I wouldn't want to tie up my phone just to get the same use as what this would provide. I have never seen any other Android boxes with a 1080p HD camera that can sit on the TV who else makes them?

Tie up your phone? Were you going to play angry birds while doing your workout? Fitness apps are already very popular for Android and iOS devices and work very well in that situation.

That's just a few of them. There are also a ton of HDMI sticks that have cameras, for use on side HDMI ports on TVs. Plus most Android boxes work with cheap USB web cams as well.

What I meant was why would I put my phone on top of my TV to use XBMC, Netflix, Skype, etc... Sure you can do it but personally I would want a dedicated device for it. Thanks for the links do any of them do hardware decoding with XBMC?

Yes big mistake I think, as IMO it would have been better to only have marketed it as a Android TV / Smart TV box with integrated camera.

If marketed correctly, then no it would not be a big mistake. Honestly the fitness part may only benefits maybe 20% of the users on this site, but if advertised in the right places, they could sell a boat load of these and services to those that want an at hole personal trainer without actually having to hire someone to come to the house. I personally can count about 5 friends and acquaintances that could use this and would probably only use it for that. Its all about targeting. Obviously targeting the fitness portion here would do nothing for them.
