Wired xbox 360 controller not being recognized
#1
Hi, I'm running xbmc on arch linux arm on my rpi, and was hoping to get it working together with my wired xbox 360 controller.

To put it blunty, the problem is that xbmc doesn't seem to recognize it at all. While the controller is definately connected and works nicely with jstest, it refuses to register in xbmc's logs at all (I.e. no "Enabled joystick" message).

I am currently at a loss of what to try, as nothing seems to get through to xbmc.

This is likely a distribution (i.e. Arch) question. It is possible they have build xbmc without --enable-joystick,
or there are required modules missing from the kernel.

Can you test with latest OpenELEC build and check it works?

Thanks for your input, you do indeed seem to be correct that arch compiles without the --enable-joystick flag https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILD...t/PKGBUILD. I haven't tried with openelec yet (I am currently shifting data aruond on my SD card), but I am confident that it will work as expected. Looks like I've got some recompiling to do.
