Enabling xbmc remote control without GUI access
#1
I run xbmc on a boxee box but have lost the remote control. I can still remotely in to the box and directly modify files, however.

Is there some way I can leverage this to enable remote control support for the xbmc iOS controller app? Some config file I can manipulate?

Thanks

It's all in guisettings.xml in your userdata folder.

Off hand, I forget which exact tags you want, but you can easily figure it out by installing XBMC on a computer, changing the settings to enable remote control/web access, then quit XBMC. Compare the guisettings.xml from that on your computer to the guisettings.xml file on the Boxee box and you'll see what you need to change.
